Biography: Kristin Hunter-Thomson draws from her experience teaching in formal and informal education settings to develop cutting-edge science and data literacy focused content and experiences. Working in conjunction with scientists to ensure accuracy in the science and accessibility to the students, she plans, develops, and implements programs for 6-16 students and professional development opportunities for 6-16 educators to disseminate these developed materials. She also works with scientists and undergraduate students to increase skills in science communication. Kristin has an M.S. Marine Science from Moss Landing Marine Laboratories/San Jose State University and an M.A.T. Earth & Life Science (Middle & High School) for Lewis & Clark College.
